Indonesia ‘Jakarta’ Hub held it’s second sessions of skills up program about: Career Enhancement hosting Andika Deni Prasetya (CEO RAKAMIN ACADEMY).

The session discussed *personal branding* skills and how the world of work becomes one of the phases that students will go trough after graduating from the university/college. So the job seekers should acquire skills to be competent and confident. One of them is developing *personal branding* skill. Bosnia ‘Sarajevo’ Hub hosted Zora Kostadinova, a PhD candidate in social anthropology at the University College London, in a session tackling the important role Sufism has played in Bosnia’s multi-confessional society historically. Zora talked more closely about her own ethnographic fieldwork, what does it mean to research Muslim practices and traditions anthropologically, and what Sufism means to the people who devote themselves to practicing it.

Contributional Leadership, Towards a Better Engagement with your Closed Circle | Fellowship

In the second day of the VLR (virtual leadership retreat) of Al Sharq Fellowship program, it started with Peter Riddel’s session entitled “Looking Forward” reflecting on the most serious challenges that the participants’ communities/societies face and their current and future contribution to their communities/societies. To then continue with Bhavesh Patel’s session on “Contributional Leadership” that aimed at embracing uncertainty and chaos introducing the CyneFin framework for change. Later Katharine Roff, Regional Network Director, Europe of Six Seconds, The Emotional Intelligence Network, took the participants on an “Emotional Intelligence for leaders” journey where she provided insight into the role of emotions, enable intentional action using emotions and consider the power of purpose in developing and sustaining a work practice based on emotional intelligence. Later Mr. Assaad Chaftari, former senior intelligence official of the Christian militia Lebanese Force, gave a keynote speech on his own life journey and the transition that he went through titled “From Militia leader to a Peacemaker”. The day was concluded with Mr. Waddah Khanfar’s session on leaders’ characteristics where he highlighted the top four leadership characteristics that he identified through out his interaction with the world leaders.

France ‘Paris’ Hub hosted Mr. François Deroche: President of justice and rights without borders, Mr. Raphael Lioger: Philosopher, sociologist & university professor. The session discussed the political and economic relationship between EU and MENAT (Middle East, North Africa & Turkey) region on four axes:
1- History and nature of occident-orient relations. Is it a win-win or a win-lose situation?
2- What role is EU currently playing in MENAT region?
3- EU & Turkey: a new approach to the global strategic balance!
4- Focus on the future of the relationship between EU & MENAT.
