Introducing 2020-21 Impact Platform Incubated Initiatives
Our Impact Platform is welcoming its incubated initiatives for the 2020-21 cycle 🎉
The 27 unique initiatives will be supported through various mechanisms including; crowdfunding and matchmaking, volunteers and mentors, training and workshops, and international exposure.
In the first phase of the incubation process, the initiatives will participate in the “Public Leadership” training program that is designed to increase their impact through utilizing innovative techniques.
Taafi’ is a network that provides Syrian prisoners with emotional and psychological support to help them reintegrate in the society. ‘Taafi’ is one of the 19 civic initiatives incubated by our ‘Impact Platform’ for its first cycle 2020-21. Observatory of Political and Economical Network (OPEN) works on collecting and analyzing data to enhance transparency in the Syrian scene and hold public money looters and corrupt people accountable in international and local courts. Youth of Strategic Awareness’ is a Sudanese initiative working on raising awareness among Youth about the importance of public policy, it also trains them to become more involved in policy and decision making. ‘Siyasat’ is a public policy and good governance institute that aims to build a network of researchers who can make an impact on the policymaking process and increase the public policy debate quality in the region. ‘Al Mokhayam’ is a media platform that shares the Syrian refugees’ news and stories with the world. The platform also acts as a reference that helps the refugees find job opportunities, and financial and moral support. ‘Yemen Debates Network’ is a youth network that aims to promote the values of citizenship, and spread the culture of dialogue and peaceful coexistence in Yemen by organizing debates in schools and universities. ‘Latina Post’ is an online platform that aims to build a realistic and effective bridge of communication and dialogue between 480 million Arabic speakers & 430 Spanish speakers from around the world. Hayya Shabab’ is an initiative that aims to provide youth with innovative training to help them find job opportunities through the internet. The initiative focuses on senior students to prepare them for professional life after their graduation. ‘Metli Metlak’ is a Lebaense initiative that works on combating sectarian fanaticism, and promoting a society of dialogue and coexistence. The initiative creates digital content that sheds light on the problem of sectarianism, and advances social cohesion for a better Lebanon. ‘Hala & Hadi’ is a comedy puppet show that highlights the social challenges facing the Al Sharq region, while promoting the values of diversity, inclusion and coexistence through dark comedy. ‘Shams Community’ is a shared community initiative that aims to bring positive change by creating a safe space for people to come together and encourage dialogue and learning. Additionally, it promotes community participation, sustainability and social innovation, while enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between individuals and communities. ‘Let’s Talk Peace’ is a podcast that aims to motivate and inspire youth to take action towards promoting peace in their communities through creative problem solving techniques and critical thinking skills. ‘Education for Her’ is an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the importance of gender equality and education, especially for young girls and women. ‘Jordan Volunteering Days’ is a civic initiative that aims to build a network of volunteers in Jordan and raise awareness about the importance of volunteering. ‘International Youth Capacity Development Foundation’ seeks to design initiatives and programs that encourage youth to be active members of the society. The foundation encourages youth to advocate for social, cultural and national causes to revive their national heritage and historical identity. ‘SUMU: Promoting Values’ is a civic initiative that aims to build a network of Jordanian civil society institutions, and act as an incubator for other initiatives in order to empower youth without marginalizing their needs and opinions. ‘The Development Researcher’ initiative aims to qualify youth in the development sector to understand the challenges facing society and their complexities in order to help them conduct field research, monitor problems, and develop applicable solutions for them. ‘Address for Good’ is an initiative that aims to consolidate the values of solidarity within society, spread the culture of helping others, and facilitate the efforts of volunteers and NGOs to deliver the convenient support to vulnerable groups through financial aid or by providing services such as: building schools and giving lessons for children in rural villages. ‘Revolution Information Bank’ is an initiative that works on collecting and documenting all the events since the Egyptian revolution to be preserved in memory and be witnesses to the past, as it will be an important and essential step for building the future.
