Tunisia Hub organized an event on “To what extent does the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contribute to responding to the development requirements? ” hosting Borhene Dhaouadi, Director of the Tunisian National Smart Cities Program at the Tunisian Institute of Strategic Studies.
The sessions was a space to discuss on the private public partnerships, its definitions, it’s types and how to distinguish this partnership from other concepts(public deals, privatisations etc.). In addition to the contribution of this partnership in responding to the requirements of regional development and opportunities for youth through this type of partnership.
A discussion on the law of Solidarity and Social Economy of Tunisia presented by Professor Moez Belhaj Rhouma, member of the Constituent Assembly, current member of the People’s Assembly, and head of the Agriculture, Food Security, Trade and Related Services Committee in Tunisia.
Tunis Hub organized a webinar entitled “To what extent does emerging enterprises contribute to reviving the national economy and reducing unemployment rate in Tunisia?” hosting Dr. Anouar Maarouf – Former Minister of Communication Technology and Digital Economy in Tunisia.
Generally speaking, emerging enterprises are based on innovation and renewal, adopting modern technologies, and achieving high added value in increasing-economic growth and creating jobs, especially for the youth, and promoting entrepreneurship, which will be able to transform the country into a digital hub and a future pillar of the Tunisian economy, which is currently mainly dependent on agriculture and tourism. Because of the importance of this topic especially to young people, and the economic importance provided by such companies, the ASY Tunisia Hub organized this webinar in order to shed light on all that matters to start-ups in Tunisia, starting with the law related to them and all the conditions it stipulates, passing through the facilities and privileges it provides, and access to the government program Startup Act, which was presented and simplified by asking all the inquiries Tunisian youth interested in entrepreneurship and who seek to create their own enterprise.

In collaboration with the ‘Youth & Skills Association, Bizerta’, Tunis hub organized a discussion session on the book “Media of brutality and the colorful killing” with the attendance of the book author, Anis Akrouti. The book provides an analytical study on the media discourse on the so-called jihadi movements, having “ISIS” as a case study.
In collaboration with Youth & Skills Association Bizerta and the electronic magazine ‘Tunisia Review’, Al Sharq Youth Tunis Hub organized a film screening and discussion entitled ‘La Révolution Est Là’ with the attendance of the film director, Taycir bin Naser. The film presents a number of viewpoints related to the owners of successful initiatives of the revolution and their futuristic vision.
In partnership with the Maghrebi Women Leaders Network, Al Sharq Youth Network held its 2nd regional event this year ‘Common Challenges of the Youth in the Maghreb Region’ in the Tunisian capital, bringing together members from Tunis, Algeria, Rabat, West Tripoli and Nouakchott Hubs. The 4-day event addressed various issues such as regional integration, cultural diversity as a unifying factor and migration, while hosting distinguished academics, members of the parliament, journalists and intellectuals among whom were Rached Ghannouchi, the Co-Founder of the Tunisian Ennahdha Party, Jamila Ksiksi, member of the African Parliament and Wafa Makhlouf, member of the Tunisan Parliament.
