Chai Talk: Job Hunting and Business | Nagoya

Nagoya Hub hosted the second CHAI TALK entitled “Job Hunting and Business” which garnered nearly 30 participants and a heated and sometimes emotional discussion. Japan is a very peculiar context when it comes to career choice. Are we to simply to follow the path everyone else in society follows, or do we have an alternative? What does success mean, and what does being a professional and earn a living as Muslims in Japan entail? Can we pursue our passion when society tells us to be ‘more realistic’? With valuable advices from older participants as well as refreshing insights from the younger, it is hoped that all were able to take home foods for thought for the betterment of their present and future career choices.
