Position: Regional Coordinator – Al Sharq Youth

Structure: Part-Time
Location: Applicants must currently live within the region they are applying to coordinate
Duration: 2 years

Position Overview
Al Sharq Youth is looking for Four Regional Coordinators to help strengthen, connect, and grow its network across four regions: Asia, MENA, Africa, and Europe & Americas.
Regional Coordinators act as the bridge between Al Sharq Youth’s global network and its local hubs. They work closely with Hub Coordinators to support existing hubs, activate developing communities, identify opportunities for new hubs, and strengthen collaboration across the region.
Regional Coordinators are expected to act as regional ecosystem builders who understand the realities of their region, build strong relationships, identify opportunities, and help translate Al Sharq Youth’s wider strategy into meaningful local action.
Regional Coordinators will also contribute to Al Sharq Youth’s central programs, international conference, and network-wide initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Regional Network Growth: Identify opportunities for new hubs, communities, partnerships, and network expansion across the region.
- Hub Support & Development: Support Hub Coordinators, track hub needs and challenges, and help strengthen developing or inactive hubs.
- Member & Hub Activation: Help hubs connect members to opportunities, programs, initiatives, and meaningful pathways for contribution.
- Regional Collaboration: Create stronger connections between hubs and support joint initiatives, gatherings, and cross-country collaboration.
- Regional Insights: Identify trends, challenges, opportunities, and youth needs across the region and communicate them to the Network & Ecosystems Lead.
- Tracking & Follow-Up: Support regular reporting, hub-health tracking, communication, and measurement of regional network activity.
- Support central programs, the international conference, campaigns, recruitment, events, and other Al Sharq Youth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience in community-building, youth networks, programs, volunteer management, or project coordination.
- Experience coordinating people, teams, communities, or initiatives.
- Strong familiarity with the region they are applying to coordinate.
- Experience working across different cultures, cities, or countries.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good organizational and follow-up discipline.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Familiarity with Al Sharq Youth or similar youth/community networks is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
English: Required
Other regional languages: Strong advantage
Working Conditions
Structure: Primarily part-time
Location: Remote / regional, with coordination across countries
Travel: Occasional travel may be required within the region or to Türkiye
Schedule: Some evening or weekend meetings may be required depending on activities and time zones
