Al Sharq Youth Network announced its partnership with the New Economy & Social Innovation Forum (NESI) for the NESI Global Forum 2019, which will take place in Málaga, Spain between 24th – 26th of April 2019.

To shed light on the power of innovation for social progress, Al Sharq Youth held its 7th Regional Event this year “Alternative Economy Models: Innovation and Social Impact” in Madrid, Spain. The event hosted a number of distinguished speakers who discussed the role of groundbreaking technologies including the Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and FinTech in developing alternative economy models with a special focus on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda.
‘The Launch of the Hispano-Arab Film and Documentary Association’ | Madrid
Al Sharq Youth Madrid Hub participated in ‘The Launch of the Hispano-Arab Film and Documentary Association’ which is formed by a group of young Moroccans in Spain. The main objective of the association is to promote social interaction among different communities in the Hispano-Arab world using cinema as a socio-cultural medium.

Member of Madrid Hub, Fatima Bourhim Mesaoudi attended ‘The EYE 2018 – The European Youth Event’ that was held in the European Parliament’s Seat in Strasbourg which aimed at combining the life experience of actively debating the world’s issues with the possibility for online, digital interaction.

Al Sharq Youth Madrid Hub held an online live meeting on Workplace with Pablo Santaeufemia, the Co-Founder and the CEO of the Bridge for Billions (B4B), which is an online incubator with the objective of democratizing access to entrepreneurship support.
‘FILTRO’ Workshop | Madrid
Under the Al Sharq Ignite Circle, Al Sharq Youth Madrid Hub participated in a fruitful workshop on ‘FILTRO’ project, which is an upcoming app that combines artificial intelligence and human knowledge to help users detect and identify biased information in news.
‘Social Entrepreneurship: Learning by Doing’ | Madrid
Al Sharq Youth Madrid Hub held its first workshop in 2018, ‘Social Entrepreneurship: Learning by Doing’. The workshop was instructed by Youness Ouahid Benkaddour, the founder of Excellenting, an automated technological marketplace. The participants had first-hand experience on the entrepreneurship world.
