Film Reading Session ‘Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da’ | Istanbul

Cinema, which is called the 7th art and has become one of the most effective ways of conveying messages despite its 100-year history, has become one of the indispensable tools of examining social problems. Nowadays, social problems are also criticized through realistic films with high viewing pleasure, touching life and challenging the audience intellectually. As ASY Istanbul Hub, we wanted to discuss the problems of our society through such local films. In this session, the moderator Bilal Alemdaroğlu will discussed ‘Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da’ film with our guest İsmail Yılmaztekin.

Big Data| Paris

As Amaël Cattaruzza says in his book “Géopolitique des données numériques”: Understanding a technology is not only understanding how it works, it is also taking into consideration the social, economic, political and philosophical context in which it is part and that it modifies in return”. Big data can therefore be considered as a socio-technical phenomenon, which has continued to change the world for several years.
France ‘Paris’ Hub organized a talk that addressed the impact and changes related to these new technologies on three different axes:
1- The technological axis: what’s Big Data and what is different compared to technologies before ?
2- Companies axis : How have companies taken advantage so far and how can they improve their data experience ?
3- The human being and society axis : social media, fake news, labor market.

The session hosted Abed Ajraou, Chief Data Officer, Lecturer of Big Data and Data Science Professor, Aissam Ouaza, Serial Innovative Entrepreneur and Startup Mentor, and Philippe Feinsilberber, Digital innovation advisor, lecturer at Science Po Paris.

To what extent does emerging enterprises contribute to reviving the national economy and reducing unemployment rate in Tunisia? | Tunisia

Tunis Hub organized a webinar entitled “To what extent does emerging enterprises contribute to reviving the national economy and reducing unemployment rate in Tunisia?” hosting Dr. Anouar Maarouf – Former Minister of Communication Technology and Digital Economy in Tunisia.

Generally speaking, emerging enterprises are based on innovation and renewal, adopting modern technologies, and achieving high added value in increasing-economic growth and creating jobs, especially for the youth, and promoting entrepreneurship, which will be able to transform the country into a digital hub and a future pillar of the Tunisian economy, which is currently mainly dependent on agriculture and tourism. Because of the importance of this topic especially to young people, and the economic importance provided by such companies, the ASY Tunisia Hub organized this webinar in order to shed light on all that matters to start-ups in Tunisia, starting with the law related to them and all the conditions it stipulates, passing through the facilities and privileges it provides, and access to the government program Startup Act, which was presented and simplified by asking all the inquiries Tunisian youth interested in entrepreneurship and who seek to create their own enterprise.
